Our Story

Founded in 1985 on Blenheim Crescent W11, the business began as a small street-corner coffee roast. The success of the coffee led to the opening of The Coffee Plant in 1997 at 180 Portobello Road, and the growth of a wholesale operation built on high-quality Organic, Fairtrade espresso coffee.

Today, the shop trades seven days a week at the heart of Portobello Road Market, with coffee locally roasted and delivered fresh twice weekly. The business serves retail and wholesale customers across the UK and Europe.
